I wanted to read Instapaper articles on my Xteink X4, so I decided to make a script that will download articles and serve up the epubs on an opds feed.

You can add the feed to Crosspoint or CrossInk and download selected articles for reading. It will also sync with your Instapaper, so deleted/archived articles get removed from the feed.

@anime I think the studio is new, but the director is an industry veteran who seems to have worked on all kinds of high tier projects as a key animator (JJK, Dungeon Meshi, Tengoku Daimakyou, Devilman Crybaby) so I think the odds are good that it'll be a decent project.

Wow I feel like this got an anime so quickly. Kagurabachi's success will depend on how good the animation is since it's a shonen action series.

I think they might go big on this one to try and recreate JJK's success

Nippon Sangoku is definitely the most underrated anime this season, both the animation and the storyline are awesome.

I get really strong Golden Kamuy vibes from it as well, and its got a wicked sense of humor for a military/politics focused show.

Hollo 0.8.0 is out. The main additions: you can now run web and worker processes separately via NODE_TYPE, which helps on instances with large follower counts where federation load was slowing down API responses. Mastodon clients that support the 4.5 quote post API will now work with Hollo. Remote actor profiles are refreshed automatically in the background when they go stale, and dead follower records are cleaned up on permanent delivery failures. There's also a new dashboard page for mass-deleting cached thumbnails from remote posts to free up storage.

@arimamary thanks! The new device is by a company called Xteink. I don't know if it's true, but I've seen people say it stands for "Xtra Tiny E-ink"

I saw the XTeink X4 on a bunch of YouTube videos and really wanted it since it would be much easier to carry around daily than my Libra colour.

Omg Kohske-sensei is coming back to work on "Gangsta." as a serialized comic!

I'm so happy about that, it's such a great series. She was diagnosed with Lupus and had some pretty invasive surgeries years ago, so I could only hope that the series could continue at some point.

I wrote a blog post with my findings about searching for #RSS feeds through my now familiar online neighborhoods. It includes templates for each platform mentioned as well as a resource for extracting feeds from sites that without native support.
