Today, I build a instance on my own using in

I wasn't expecting it to be that hard.

But man, mastodon is a beast.

It has so many configs, services, settings, etc. It's actually insane.

Especially if you set storage, etc

In the last months, I've been using to host my current instance.

Since I seem able to run it myself, I might move and save the money.

The best backup strategy I've found for a VPS:

1. restic for file-level backups (deduplication + encryption)
2. Daily snapshots to Backblaze B2 (cheap object storage)
3. Database dumps before each backup
4. Test restores monthly

Total cost: under $1/month for 50GB.

Acabo de crear un nuevo en @internetarchive con datos de radiancia y nocturna y altitudes de España, a ver si hago una web de mas especializada para porque a nivel mundial simplemente no me iba a caber en mi jijiji

Aún tenog que repasar metadatos, tablas funciones etc pero es un primer paso.
