@anime right and from what I can tell, chapter costs are more reasonable in Korea (though maybe that's adjusted for local cost of living so it ends up being roughly the same).

I think the "experience" of being nickel and dimed ends up causing an adversarial relationship with the customer. There are plenty of people buying printed manhwa and comics, I don't see why they couldn't offer ebooks at least instead of locking everything behind their specific apps.
